Sister Sara Koch's life is proof of what Catholic education can do.
As one of nine children, she was formed in faith in the classrooms of St. Mary School. When she graduated in 1959, she carried something with her that never left: a love of God's people and a joy in the Gospel that would define the next six decades of her life.
The Sister Sara Koch Scholarship Fund was established in 2026 to honor her memory by doing exactly what St. Mary School did for her — nurturing a faith that grows deeper over time, and forming children who carry it with them throughout their lives. Each year, the fund will award tuition scholarships to students with demonstrated financial need, ensuring that as many families as possible can have access to the same Catholic education that shaped Sister Sara's remarkable life.
Will you give to the Sister Sara Koch Scholarship Fund?
It's an investment in a child's story — one that, like Sister Sara's, may unfold in ways none of us can fully imagine. Every gift, of any size, grows the fund and increases the number of children who can be served each year. Your generosity today plants a seed that will bear fruit for years to come.
Knowing that I’m providing opportunities for people to be nourished by a deeper relationship and understanding of God revealed, makes my religious life a real joy.
