Friend of St. Mary School
Congratulations to John and Lana Nuessen, recipients of the ‘Friend of St. Mary School Award’ presented at the Grandparents’ Day luncheon. John and Lana’s three children attended St. Mary School, and they have served the school in many capacities. Most recently Mrs. Nuessen has regularly volunteered in the school library and Mr. Nuessen has served on the budget and endowment committees. Many thanks to them for their years of service.
Golf Benefit On June 15th, there will be a 4 man scramble golf outing at Rolling Greens to benefit SMS. Entry is $200 per 4 man team which includes lunch. Registration begins at 8:30 with a shotgun start at 9:00. Volunteers are needed to hang flyers advertising the golf outing at local and area businesses. Warm Weather Dress Code Students may wear shorts after May 1 on warm days when we do not have Mass or other special events. Please remember that shorts should be a reasonable length (fingertip length) and not frayed or with holes. Form fitting garments such as tights or leggings may not be worn unless under skirts of reasonable length. Spandex garments are not included in the dress code.
Aluminum Can Recycling
FOSMS would like to remind everyone that we now have a recycle bin for aluminum cans on the school premises for easy drop off. We do ask that all cans be bagged. These funds are helping pay for transportation for Kindergarten field trip to Koch Nook Dairy and Roger’s Bakery and for 5th-8th graders to participate in Olympic Day in Quincy. Thank you for your continued support.
